I started using ChatGPT to learn coding because resources sometimes make you feel overwhelming and slow. Because there are so many YouTube videos tutorials and documents that are sometimes easy to get you frustrated when you only just need a quick explanation or answer. But ChatGPT give me a way to learn step-by-step on my own, I can ask for explanation in a simple term and get a quick answer, example and idea without waiting or feeling stuck. to me is just like having a mentor that is patient that I can ask anything about coding and get guidance immediately.

MY SIMPLE DAILY WORKFLOW WITH CHATGPT

My workload depend on what I want to create a bill based on the day, for example I want to build a portfolio website but have little knowledge on how to go about it then my workflow will go like this; (1) ask questions and learn, that is I will now use ChatGPT to ask questions on the popular website that I want to build on the requirement to accomplish the goal. (2) Hand-on practice, that is I will immediately practice what I learned while ChatGPT will help solve some errors that I encounter while practicing on the portfolio website project. (3) Challenges, if I eventually get challenges on the process of building the portfolio website project then ChatGPT will now act like my mentor by suggesting improvement or showing alternative solutions. (4) Review, at the end I will ask ChatGPT to summarize what I learned in the process of building the project and this now helps to keep me consistent.

Let me say, as we were building on the portfolio website project and then an error comes up, what I will do is that I will ask clear and specific questions about the problem. I will include what I tried and what went wrong in the question that I will ask ChatGPT. Then I will get the reply and solution from ChatGPT which I will now test it on my portfolio website and adjust anything in the website if needed, this way I have fixed the errors quickly.

USING CHATGT TO UNDERSTAND CODE STEP-BY-STEP

To understand code step by step from ChatGPT, I will copy the code and paste it on ChatGPT and ask it to explain each of the line or sections. I will focus on why it is written that way, what each part does and also how it can affect your work or the program. But I just want you to know that breaking code into small pieces makes it easier to understand and remember and it can also help you to learn faster as a beginner.

Before using chat GPT earlier, I struggle to understand some code concept. But by using ChatGPT and asking questions, I can now check for errors and fix it on my code and also see explanations from my mistakes. And also, ChatGPT has helped me to build mani-projects which now help me to learn along the process of building those projects.

TIPS FOR BEGINNERS WHO WANT TO LEARN FASTER

For beginners who want to learn and also build faster with chat GPT, then there are many thieves that you need to follow so as you achieve that, and I will be teaching you some of the tips that you need to follow. The tips that you are to follow so as to learn fast as a beginner are; (1) start small, then grow and what I mean is that you should not rush big project but you can begin with tiny things like buttons, forms, links. From those small things we help to build your confidence and speed. (2) Learn by doing and not just watching tutorials, although tutorials are good but typing the code yourself helps you to remember faster and practice more. (3) Ask clear questions when you are stuck, like for example you are building a project and later got stuck or confused, then you can write what you did, what you were expecting and finally what happened on the process of testing it. It will help you to think better and also get better help from ChatGPT. (4) Repeat what you have learned up to two time because repeating the same thing that you have done helps you to understand it very well. (5) Learn from your mistakes and don't fear whenever you come across or make a mistake, because as you make those mistake, you will learn as you later correct those mistakes. And lastly be consistent in whatever that you are building.
