Why am teaching you the difference between domain and hosting is because, many beginners that are coming online most get confused with domain and hosting but from today none of you will get confused about the both after you are done following and listening to all that I will be teaching to you today in this guide and training. WHAT IS A DOMAIN?

We will be starting with what a domain is and I will try my possible best to explain it in a way that you can understand it very well as a beginner, and we are starting now. A domain is known as the address of your website on the internet, just like how your house have an address that if you tell or give it to anyone then the person will be able to locate and come to your house. Instead for you to be typing a very long IP or URL, then people can be able to simply type your domain name so as to be able to visit your website. Many brands and website have domains, which some of the examples are; google.com, facebook.com and others. A domain normally has two parts which is the name (the name you choose) and extension (comes at the end after the name), for example myblog.com, mybusiness.com. Domains are very important because it will make your website to be very easy to remember and also helps to build your brand, and brand is simply like your business or name that people know you or your business as. Domain also helps to make visitors to trust your website that it is own by real person and also looks professional. As you can be able to search for google.com, youtube.com, mybusiness.com and see it online. For you to get your own domain, you will have to purchase or buy it from domain registrar like Namecheap, Hostinger, GoDaddy, and then connect it your website or blog builder like WordPress, Wix or Blogger, so that it will be live and accessible to everyone when they search your domain name online.

Now we are done with what domain is and I will be teaching and talking to you on what is hosting. So hosting is known as the storage where all your website files is stored online and it is owned by hosting companies, for your website to be published successfully online, then you will buy a domain name which I said that it is like registering your name online and then hosting is like buying storage online that will contain your website files like videos, image, text or website code which you will then link it to your domain name that when user search your domain name, it will now open your files that is stored on the hosting of your website. DOMAIN VS HOSTING: THE SIMPLE DIFFERENCE

Now we will be talking on the difference between domain and hosting which I even believe now that you all know it but I will still be talking about the difference between both of them here. So now when you create your website, you will sometimes be hearing the word domain and hosting, and it can be very confusing which I earlier told you that some beginners get confused on the two terms at their first time. In simple way for you is to just know that a domain is your website address on the internet for example that I showed you like yourbusiness.com, yourblog.online, and many more. The name that people type on your browser to find your website is known as domain. Hosting, on the other hand, is the space or storage on a server where all your website files, content, image, video are stored so that they can be accessed online. Let us just think of it like this: our domain is our home or house address, while our hosting is the house or place where we are living and all of our belongings or property are stored. As you can see it now, you will notice that both of them are very important. Like without a domain name, people cannot able to see or find your website online and also without hosting for your website, then your website will not be able to exist online because there is no space or storage that is provided for your website to stay online.
